It starts with Lake Nakuru National Park which is a worlds class birding destination and a haven for the endangered rhino and also the Roth’s child giraffe. It then heads to Masai Mara game reserve which is the most popular reserve in Kenya and also Africa. It hosts the wildebeest migration and has been awarded by World Tourism Awards as the best game reserve in Africa . TOUR DETAILS
DAY 1
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our tour manager and driver cum tour guide. They will brief you on your safari over a round of refreshing welcome drinks. Depart for a scenic drive to the world famous Masai Mara. Stop enroute at the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment to see the stunning views. You will also see the Masai people on the way, who live unaffected by modern civilization. Check in at your luxury lodge and enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will be taken for a game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
DAY 2
Today you will explore the great Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, set off for your gamedrive. You may stop and walk at special sites such as rivers where you can see hippo and crocodiles. Return to the lodge where you can enjoy a refreshing swim before your buffet lunch.Later in the afternoon, leave for another game drive to explore another part of the reserve.
Expert gametracking skills of your tour guide cum driver. Enjoy a buffet dinner at the lodge. Overnight at your Mara Sopa Lodge. Note that on this day there is an option of a picnic lunch in the Mara reserve at no extra cost. You therefore can go on a day long game drive, returning to the lodge in the evening.
DAY 3
After a buffet breakfast, depart for the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park, a bird & rhino sanctuary, home to a variety of wildlife. The lake is famous for its vast numbers of pink flamingoes. Arrive in time for lunch at your deluxe tented camp.
A late afternoon gamedrive from 3.30pm allows you to see the rich diverse game in the park. You will also be taken to a cliff view point overlooking the lake. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp.
DAY 4
After your final morning gamedrive and a relaxed breakfast, depart for Nairobi by 11am with brief stops at scenic points along the Rift Valley Escarpment. Arrive in Nairobi by lunchtime. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
