Welcome to Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is a pristine rainforest sanctuary located in western Uganda, covering an area of approximately 795 square kilometres. Established in 1993, the park is renowned for its rich biodiversity and is considered one of the premier destinations for Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda. Kibale National Park is part of the larger Kibale-Queen Elizabeth conservation area, which includes Queen Elizabeth National Park and several wildlife reserves.

Kibale is home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, including an estimated 1,500 chimpanzees, as well as several other monkey species. In addition to its primate population, Kibale National Park is also inhabited by a diverse array of bird species, butterflies, and other wildlife.

Visit in Kibale National Park

However, Kibale National Park can be visited year-round, and each season offers its own unique experiences. The wet seasons, from March to May and October to November, are characterized by lush vegetation, abundant birdlife, and fewer tourists, making it an ideal time for birdwatching and photography.

Finally, Kibale National Park offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and diverse wildlife of Uganda’s rainforests.
