Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a premier Uganda Destination located in the southwestern part of the country, covering an area of approximately 331 square kilometres. Established in 1991, the park is renowned for its ancient rainforests, rugged terrain, and rich biodiversity. It is best known as the home of the endangered mountain gorillas, making it one of the top destinations for Gorilla Trekking in Uganda.

Bwindi is one of the most biologically diverse areas in Africa, with over 400 plant species, 120 mammal species, and more than 350 bird species recorded within its borders. In addition to its famous gorilla population, Bwindi is also inhabited by several other primate species, including chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys.
